The La Vernia Junior High hosted “The Great Minds in STEM” project which is part of the Viva Technology Program and sponsored by the US Air Force. During the Viva Technology Program students experience a day infused with fun & competitive Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) activities. They spent the entire day working alongside university student role models, in teams and competed for a chance to win stem based prizes. The entire school was able to participate in individual STEM activates, like building free standing newspaper towers within a specific allotted amount of time. The La Vernia Junior High would like to thank the Viva Technology program as well as the U.S. Air Force for the exceptional experience for our staff and students. It was an exciting day full of discovery, learning and exploring.
